Wynendaele Route

The route is located between Ostend and Torhout. The cyclist successively meets the flat coast-polder landscape and the gently sloping Woodland. Departing from the Ostend borough Stene, the journey first leads through the Historic Polders of Ostend.

Subsequently, the old railway Ostend-Torhout that is turned into a recreational road takes the cyclist through Gistel and Eernegem to the ancient castle domain Wijnendale. The return journey leads past Ichtegem and Koekelare to Moere-Blote.

Finally, it travels along quiet rural roads to the Plassendale-Nieuwpoort channel and to the Snaaskerke Polder.
