The Utfanc was the medieval name of a vast heathland along the north-western edge of the Wijnendale plateau that stretches from Bruges to Beerst.
Today, the cycle route discovers large sections of Ichtegem, Eernegem and Bekegem, but also a piece of Koekelare.
